Welcome to Wee Three Kings Preschool
Who We Are…
We are here to provide a place where children can learn in a loving Christian atmosphere and develop a positive self-image that will promote a solid basis for meeting life’s social, academic and moral challenges. To encourage a child to ask questions, to explore and to experiment through developmentally appropriate child-initiated, child-directed play and activities.
A Message From Our Director
Welcome back! Thank you for attending our New Parent Orientation and our Meet & Greets. It was wonderful welcoming everyone to school and seeing how much the children have grown over the summer!
Here are a few reminders to help the start of school go smoothly.
Start of School Drop Off Service will begin Wednesday, September 7th.
- Have your child sitting on the right side of the car (curbside). We are not permitted to have children come out on the far side of the car. The teachers will get your child out of the car and bring them to their class.
- Please pull up under the portico so that 3 cars can be unloaded at the same time. This helps us to keep the line from backing up on the road. Thank you!
Drop off times for each class:
Parents Day Out 8:40 – 8:50 am
AM Preschool 8:55 – 9:05 am
PM Preschool 12:25- 12:35 pm
STEAM Classes 8:55-9:05 am
- If you arrive early for AM preschool, please kindly pull off at the back of the parking lot until all Parent’s Day Out students are dropped off.
- If you arrive after the time class starts, please pull into the main parking lot and call the front desk at 513-683-4256 to make arrangements for someone from our administrative team to come get your child from your car and walk them in.
- If you have children in both the Parents Day Out Program (18-36 mo) and the Preschool program (3s-PK), you will first drop off your Parents Day Out student and then circle back around and join the drop off line for Preschoolers after all Parents Day Out students have been dropped off.
All parents will park and come into the preschool at the end of class to pick up their students.
Wellness Policy Please remember that Wee Three Kings is a “well child” preschool. If your child is ill, they should be kept at home. If children are ill at school we will call for you to come pick them up. A full list of illness symptoms not permitted at school are listed in your parent handbook.
Parents are expected to call the Preschool Office on the first day of their child’s absence to report the cause of the absence or you may email our attendance email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your child will be readmitted to preschool when all signs of illness are gone, and your child has been fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of medication, or with a written notice from a doctor notifying the preschool that the child is non-communicable and able to attend preschool.
In summary, if your child is ill please keep them home. If they are ill at school we will isolate them from other children and send them home. If they have allergies or lingering signs of illness but are no longer communicable, please provide a doctor’s note so they may stay at school.
This year the Covid-19 virus is being treated as a communicable disease. As with all communicable diseases, parents are required to notify the school whenever a child has been exposed to a contagious disease or virus, i.e., COVID-19, strep throat, chicken pox, scarlatina fever, pneumonia, influenza, impetigo, lice, etc. When a child is exposed to a communicable disease or COVID-19 in class through a fellow classmate, all parents of students in class will be notified by email.
If preschool staff show signs of COVID-19 or a communicable disease, they will be replaced by a substitute. If there is evidence of spread of a communicable disease within a class, Wee Three Kings will follow guidance from the Clermont County Department of Health in order to mitigate the spread.
We have a communicable disease chart that is posted on the door of the teacher’s workroom (next to the director’s office) to look at for reference to spot and treat a communicable disease. Please feel free to reference it if needed.
Happy 20th Birthday to our Preschool! On September 4th, Wee Three Kings will commence its 20th year of helping children within our community grow! To celebrate we have opened a school garden for all classes to use and enjoy. Epiphany’s new outdoor shelter space for teachers and children to utilize during warm weather is also near completion. We are looking for someone with roofing experience to help with the final step to complete the pavilion: the installation of the shingles… if you know of anyone who could help with advising our volunteers on hanging them please contact me at 513-683-4256. Thank you!
Save the date! Epiphany United Methodist Church will be having a golf outing on October 2nd benefiting Wee Three King’s Scholarship Fund. Please watch for a separate email with more information on how to sign up. We’d love to spend the afternoon with you out on the golf course!
Epiphany UMC also has some great things coming up for families and young singers and have invited Wee Three Kings families to participate! On Sunday, September 11, Willie Berman, Epiphany’s Mexican Mission Partners, will be guest speaker at all 3 services that weekend and hosting a Family Fiesta immediately following the 10:30A service (11:30A ish).
