Little STEAMer Newsletter
Dear STEAM Families,
January was a fun month in our STEAM classroom! Our young scientist, engineers, designers, artists and mathematicians worked hard to learn about shapes and how they help us build the structures around us; they enjoyed reading 3 Billy Goats Gruff and designing bridges and boats and built amazing and creative things with cardboard boxes in our final class of the month.
In February we will start off the month with our Winter STEAM class-- let’s hope the weather doesn’t get too cold again and our class will be on! Then we launch into an entire day of making hypotheses by conducting a series of exciting science experiments and guessing what will happen-- Ms. Jess and I can’t wait to hear what the students will guess. We will wrap up the month with classes that explore airplanes and flying and our final class will be a fun day where we will learn STEAM concepts using legos.
Beginning again this month, we will start to feature our STEAMer of the week. Please watch for a note in your child’s backpack if they haven’t been STEAMER of the week yet.
We look forward to the upcoming month!
Ms. Windy and Ms. Jess
