 4’s March Preview

Spring is right around the corner and we are all ready for some warm sunshine and plenty of play time outside.  We have many fun activities planned for March, so please make sure to check your child’s folder each day for important information about our classroom activities.  Important dates to remember this month are:





Next week I will be posting a sign-up sheet for our Easter party on March 22nd.  We will need several volunteers to make this a special day for your kids, so please be on the lookout for that.  Also, If you would please send in one empty egg carton and a dozen plastic filled eggs the week of March 20th that would be wonderful .    Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  My email address is: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Literacy Centers

  • In the writing center there will be seasonal die cuts, stamps, stickers, and words to explore writing and making books.

  • We will continue to practice writing our first names and introduce recognizing our last names.  

  • We will learn the letters Tt, Uu, and Vv with books, poems, art, and play.

Math Centers

  • We will finish our shape books.

  • Children will continue working on their number books.  This month we will review numbers 4, 5, and 6 by tracing, writing, and also learning 1:1 correspondence with those numbers as well.  

  • Children will continue to sort, graph, and pattern.

Science Centers

  • In our Science Center we will be exploring animals, what sinks and floats, and the five senses.  

Dramatic Play

  • Our dramatic play area will become a veterinarian office.

Fruit of the Spirit is Gentleness.

  • We will read the Bible stories:  A Changed Man, Washing the Disciples Feet, and Jesus Calms the Storm.

  • Our Songs:  He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands and What a Friend in Jesus.
