 Dear Parents,

October was quite an exciting month.  The Fall Festival and the Pumpkin Decorating Night were both a success.  We would like to thank all the parent volunteers who helped to make these events possible.  Thank you for all your time and hard work!  We couldn’t have done it without you.

Lifetouch will be here to photograph the children on November 15 & 16.  If your Parents’ Day Out child does not attend on Tuesday or Wednesday, you may bring him/her on either day to be photographed—please see Bridget to set up a time.  Please have your photo form turned in to your classroom teacher.  There is no payment due at this time. You will be able to preview your photos and choose what you want to purchase at a later date.

Once again, you will have the opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done early!  The Usborne Book Fair will be here November 15-17 with a wide selection of great books for you to purchase that day.

In past years, our school participated in the Labels for Education program.  Unfortunately, this program is no longer available, so we will not be collecting Campbell’s UPC’s or labels.  Thank you to those who supported the program.

Along with the colder weather, comes cold and flu season.  Please remember, if your child has been ill, he or she must be symptom-free (fever or vomiting) for 24 hours, with no medication, before returning to school.  We appreciate your help in keeping us all healthy!

Don’t be surprised if you hear your preschooler singing Christmas carols already!  We will be practicing several songs beginning this week.  Our preschool classes (3’s, 4’s and Pre-K) will perform a wonderful Christmas program for parents on December 13th (for the AM classes) and December 14th (for the PM classes).  You won’t want to miss this very special evening.

We’d like to wish everyone a peaceful, happy Thanksgiving.  Enjoy your time with family and friends.

God Bless,

Stacy McDowell
